Nice Job

Nice Job
My kidney has improved. When it flares up, it affects my mood.

Further to what I said about unfair dispensation of respect in my last post, respect comes from money and money generally comes from a job, so unemployed people get less respect. This idea of a job, what does it mean to you? For instance, did you think it was Blue Rodeo's job to play my music on the radio? The radio did. They look at the plunder of my music as a legitimate enterprise. They made Blue Rodeo the ones to respect with my songs. And they told everyone to pay Blue Rodeo money for performing my songs at concerts. How much did they get paid?

And what other jobs did that create for our economy? Well, you know they must have paid their lawyer a lot. Let's see, they needed to hire people to destroy my image on the web so no one would look close enough at me to give away their crime. How many people is that? How much did they make? Then they needed someone to plant a story in the schoolyard for the younger ones. You should have seen them when I walked by that day, just before I rewrote Mischief. They looked demon possessed. Perfect, right? Once they start making money, they can even send along people to nettle the blogger. They enjoy turning around a well constructed work of humor against its author. It let's them work with such better material than they could ever come up with on their own. And we have a job for the stagehands and a job for the lighting technician and for the advertisers of the event and the organizers and the promoters and the ticket agents and the scalpers and so on and so forth, and they all get plenty of respect for having a job. Good for them.

And who created all those jobs? Me for writing the music to fill up the event or Blue Rodeo for stealing it? Am I wrong to think it was me?

Now we'll move on to Mike Myers and his crime. Has everyone heard Redemption yet? That was on the end of that movie he made out stolen property. So Mike Myers' job was to plunder my comedy. And how many other jobs did this create? Again, it created a job for his lawyer. And it created a job for the set designers and costume people and makeup people and all the production people listed while Redemption played in the background. Looked like a long list of names on that film.

Did I create all those jobs by inventing all the humor and writing the background score? Or did Mike Myers create them by stealing my things and lying to everyone with them? Am I wrong to think it was me again?

And what is my job then? Well, my job is to protest this foul crime to my dying breath. My job is to make you reject all these fraud stars. Blue Rodeo can hogtie themselves and jump into a lake now. And Mike Myers can join his father if he misses him. And these filthy broadcasters should all be burned at the stake.
